Details of Doom Eternal Plot and Finale Leaked?
A large leak, potentially revealing details of the story and the ending of the Doom Eternal campaign, has appeared on the web. Among the revelations of the anonymous source were also information about planned DLC and gameplay systems.
The launch of Doom Eternal, long awaited by fans of the classic FPS, is almost three months away. So far, the developers have shared a large number of promotional materials, which give us a foretaste of what will be waiting for us in the game. Leaks just published by an anonymous 4chan user potentially shed new light on the game, revealing, among other things, details of the title's plot. To confirm their identity and relationship with id Software, the user has published pictures of monitors with 3D working models from the game. The mysterious user also said that they were responsible for the leaks that revealed Doom's arrival in 2016. It is worth noting that as usual in such cases we must be very skeptical about this type of revelation. However, fans who do not want to spoil the surprises prepared by developers should stop reading the news.
Doom Eternal will be in stores in less than three months.
The following information can be treated as spoiler, as it potentially reveals many of the key elements of the game's storyline.
According to the leaks, Doom Eternal will try to link all the published installments of the series together. The main character of the title, Doom Slayer, will be the same character as Doomguy, who made his debut in the first installment. The protagonist is trapped in an endless time loop and has been condemned to a constant battle with demons and a journey between dimensions. In the finale of the campaign he will manage to break free from the cycle, and thus from the trap, he found himself in. However, the relationships with other games do not end there, and during the game, we will be able to unlock the classic skins of characters and weapons from previous installments of Doom.
The campaign of Doom Eternal begins before the events of 2016 Doom. During the prologue, the players learn how to use an energy sword, which can be used after executing three glory kills. There will also be a dedicated sprint button in the game. When the tutorial is over, we are in the present. The adventure continues on the map, which acts as a hub. From here we move on to new levels and missions. We'll find our armor on the spot, too.

In the last chapters of the campaign, the players will visit the heavens. Our opponents will be all kinds of angelic creatures.Their designs will be completely fantastic and will not draw direct inspiration from religious iconography. On-site we will also face three unspecified deities. The final boss is a female angel with three different combat forms. After the victory, the players will move to the green hills, with lovely rabbits hopping around. The Doom Slayer sacrifices himself and begins one last time loop.
Two additional scenes await us during the final credits sequence. In the first one, the character loses his helmet, showing the players his face. The devs recreated Doomguy's appearance from the original Doom, as well as his characteristic facial expression, which he made when picking up a new weapon. In the second, we move to the conference room where Hayden negotiates with imps dressed in business suits. Both parties talk about joint plans to be carried out "as expected".
Developers predict at least two story DLCs that take place during a demon invasion of Earth. The expansions will focus on characters named Phobos and Crash. Both heroes will wear serially produced Praetor armor, used by the protagonist of the base game.
Doom Eternal will be released on November 22, this year and will be available simultaneously on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
