Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter 1.0 Release Date Revealed
We have learned the release date of the full version of Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter. The debut will take place in early December. On this occasion, the title will receive a major update.
The management of the Iron Wolf announced [in Polish] that release of Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter version 1.0 will take place on December 6, 2023. On its debut day, the game will receive an update, which will introduce a career mode and new gameplay variants, including salvaging survivors.
As of September 28, 2022 , the title is in early access. Below we have posted the latest trailer for the game. We also recommend a video, in which the developers introduce the most important elements of the game.
Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter - basic information
Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter is a Fletcher-type destroyer simulator, in which the player takes on the role of an escort commander of an Allied convoy sailing across the Atlantic. Most of the time, the player observes the interior of the ship from a first-person perspective.
The game offers two basic gameplay modes:
- in simulation mode, the player is responsible for all decisions related to convoy escort management and navigation. The player operates complex equipment, plans the defense of the convoy and listens to reports of detected enemy units.
- Less experienced players can use the tactical mode, which offers a number of simplified solutions and allows for greater automation of destroyer management, focusing on the fight against enemy submarines.
The game is currently available for purchase 50% off. The title receives mostly positive reviews; there are 76% of them.
The studio is responsible for the game is Iron Wolf. In their plans, in addition to U-Boat Hunter, there is also a Sherman Commander.
