Warning! Below are spoilers from One Piece Fan Letter.

One Piece Fan Letter is a true love letter to OP, showing how inspiring the characters from this series can be. The perspective of the inhabitants of this world who have come into contact with the Straw Hat Crew may coincide with how the adventures from the series also affected the viewers, because it is specifically on the background characters that the new special episode of the anime is focused.

Luffy was an inspiration for a heroic brother.

One of the stories that was told in One Piece Fan Letter was that of two brothers who didn't get along. The younger one always mocked his older brother, who as a result did not really like him. Both belong to the Navy and participated in the war at Marineford, and during the battle they were between Mihawk and Crocodile. In the process, they are simply few of many soldiers, unnoticed by the audience or the main characters during the main story, but now being given the spotlight.

Imprisoned under the giant's foot, the older brother miraculously freed himself, discovering that his younger brother was in trouble, but initially he did not intend to help him. He turned around and wanted to run away, saving his own life, after all he didn't like his brother anyway. He only changed his mind after seeing Luffy and Ace fight side by side, willing to die for each other. Luffy inspired the older brother, who turned back to save the younger one, enabling both of them to escape with their lives, although it did not change their relationship.

The Straw Hat Crew, as well as the war at Marineford, changed many people, not only those whose fates we learned in the main series. As One Piece Fan Letter has shown, the actions of pirates have a significant impact on the lives of ordinary people in the background, even if they are unnoticed by viewers or even the anime characters.
