Defenders of Super Earth Have Second Chance to Unlock Anti-tank Mines in Helldivers 2. Objective Is 2 Billion Bots, but Challenge Is Greater Than Before

Some time ago, the authorities of Super Earth offered players of Helldivers 2 two new stratagems. However, the decision of which stratagems they would receive was up to the community itself, which had to vote with its guns. As a result, the defenders of Democracy decided that Airburst rocket launchers would be more useful to them than anti-tank mines.

Nevertheless, in Helldivers 2 there is no such thing as an excess of weapons, so now Helldivers have been given the chance to receive the aforementioned mines. The catch is that this will only be possible after eliminating the enemy Automaton forces.

Following the tragic, unavoidable loss of MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines on Choohe to the Automatons, and the civilians too, production began elsewhere immediately. The Helldivers are ordered to conduct a forceful, large-scale decommissioning of Automaton forces. The recovered scrap of dismantled bots will then be put towards construction of MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines -- says the message in the game (via X).

What number is hidden under the statement "on a large-scale"? It turns out that players will have to get rid of 2 billion bots. Those who remember the victorious battle in which the Super Earth forces eliminated 2 billion Terminids should be reminded that the success at that time was apparently due to an error causing the game to register more kills than there actually were. A similar situation isn't supposed to happen again, so the Helldivers have been put to a really challenging task.

Will they succeed? We can't tell. At the time of writing this news, Democracy Defenders have eliminated over 333 million bots, which is 16.66% of the designated number. You can track the numbers here.
