Death Stranding - Price, Successful Trailer and Boss Fight
Death Stranding's trailer was a huge success. More than 2 million people have already seen it. Interestingly, in the Japanese version of the trailer, several interesting scenes appeared, which initially did not have the opportunity to see other people.
Since yesterday, all lovers of Hideo Kojima's works have been very excited. All because of the new trailer of Death Stranding, the next project from the father of the Metal Gear series. The trailer has been a huge hit, with over 2 million viewers on YouTube's PlayStation channel alone within 6 hours since the launch. In addition, it collected over 252 thousand thumbs-up. This means that it is the fastest liked video game promo material of the year (via ResetEra).
- Developer: Kojima Productions;
- Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment;
- Genre: Action adventure game;
- Platform: PlayStation 4;
- Release date: November 8, 2019
The results achieved by the Death Stranding's latest trailer are not particularly surprising. This is the first trailer of Kojima's latest work in almost a year. In addition, it reveals quite a lot of information, not only about the plot but also about the gameplay. We could see elements of exploration or battles with opponents. As it turns out, however, the video shown to the rest of the world lacked a few interesting scenes that appeared in the Japanese version of the trailer. You can watch them below.
Perhaps the most interesting element present only in the Japanese trailer of Death Stranding is the boss fight - a squid-like tentacle monster made of black goo. Knowing Kojima's love for exciting confrontations with powerful opponents, as proved by the Metal Gear series, we can be almost sure that the upcoming game will not lack such battles.
Another thing that initially only Japanese players could see are certain story scenes. We see Amelie (played by Lindsey Wagner) wearing a golden mask, grabbed by the neck by a character played by Troy Baker, and strange plants growing under the influence of Timefall. As we can see, there are more mysteries to be solved.
Death Stranding will be released only on PlayStation 4 on November 8, this year. Pre-orders are available. In PlayStation Store, the standard version costs $59.99, and the Deluxe version, containing additional in-game items, soundtrack and backstage material, costs $79.99. All those who decide to buy a pre-order, will receive a hat, sunglasses, armor and speed-boosting skeleton for Sam.
In addition, Death Stranding's boxed versions are available for pre-order. The most impressive is the collector's edition, which includes a full-size figurine of a Bridge Baby in a capsule. More information about the individual editions can be found on the official website of the game.
