Death Stranding - New Gameplay Shows Main Character's Safehouse
Tokyo Game Show 2019 brought us another gameplay from Death Stranding. Over half an hour of material shows the safehouse of the main character and the personalization of the character. There were also some physiological needs.
Three days ago we wrote about the almost 50-minute recording from Death Stranding, which was presented during this year's Tokyo Game Show. It presents the basic mechanics and interactions of the player with the environment. However, this is not the only gameplay prepared by Hideo Kojima for the event. In the latest video, the Japanese artist shows us the main character's safehouse and its functions.
The presented material shows us a private room where the protagonist can rest. Here we will be able to modify Sam's appearance and manage the equipment. On one of the walls you will find a map of the world containing a list of all the tasks, a mailbox with messages and a music player.
Sam's hideout is also equipped with a shower, which the protagonist can use. During this time, not only is dirt washed away, but also physiological fluids are collected and transformed into crystals. The raw material obtained in this way is used to power some weapons.
As Hideo Kojima points out, the safehouse will not only serve as a safe haven. It is also the place where the Japanese artist posted "gimmicks for fans of Norman and Mads".
It is worth mentioning that the last weeks have brought a lot of new information related to Death Stranding. In addition to the above mentioned recording from the game, we also had the opportunity to see a video introducing the plot. We also learned that the game will receive a very easy difficulty level.
Death Stranding will launch on November 8, 2019 on PlayStation 4.
