Death Stranding Locked in GeForce Now's Xbox Offer
Microsoft Edge enables us to run games from Steam on Xbox via the GeForce Now service - except for Hideo Kojima's latest work.
GeForce Now has received the highly-anticipated beta of Microsoft Edge browser support (via The Verge). Why anticipated? Because in practice it means that from now on subscribers to Nvidia's service can run games from Steam on Xbox consoles. Let's mention that Edge enables you to use a mouse and keyboard on consoles. In other words, gamers can play on them even those titles that do not offer controller support.
There is, a fly in the ointment. Tom Warren from The Verge has noticed that for some reason the Edge browser on consoles can't find Death Stranding. The game doesn't show up in the service's directory even if you type in the entire title, even though you can run it on PC. Even when the journalist tried to copy the link to this title found on the PC, he failed to get around this "error".
We can guess that the game's publisher (Sony or 505 Games) has blocked access to Death Stranding which, although released on PC, is still a console exclusive (i.e. not available on competitive devices). Perhaps in this way it was ensured that the title developed with PlayStation in mind will not be available on Xbox. Nevertheless, we should wait for official information from Nvidia (or Sony, or 505 Games).
