Death Stranding Adds Very Easy Difficulty to Play Just for the Plot
Hideo Kojima revealed on Twitter that Death Stranding will receive a very easy difficulty level. It will be designed for people who are not looking for a challenge in gameplay, but simply want to learn the story.
There is no doubt that the plot, as is usually the case with games made by Hideo Kojima, will be an important element of Death Stranding. Certainly, there will be players who will decide to buy this production only for it, and treat gameplay as a secondary matter - a kind of interlude between subsequent cutscenes. To make their fun a little more enjoyable, and to help those who are not quite able to cope with certain sections of the gameplay, the title will provide a very easy difficulty level that will reduce the challenge to a minimum. Its presence was confirmed by Kojima himself on Twitter (via Reddit).
Easier difficulty levels for those who want to focus on the game's story are nothing new. They can be found in Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire and Divinity: Original Sin II. They allow you to avoid a lot of frustration if you don't like long and complex fights, for example.
Death Stranding will debut on November 8, 2019 on PlayStation 4 only (although from time to time there are rumors that it will be released on the PC in the near future). Although we are less than two months away from the launch, the title still seems very mysterious. Trailers and gameplay fragments published so far, although not the shortest, sometimes left us with more questions than answers (only the plot intro, which leaked into the web some time ago, shed a little more light on it; unfortunately, it is no longer available). Nevertheless, the name Kojima and the star cast, with Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, Mads Mikkelsen, Margaret Qualley, Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn at the forefront, are enough to attract fans of original gaming experiences.
