Death Must Die returns from the Underworld with Act 2! This massive content update brings players back for more, offering uncharted wastelands and bone-chilling locations to explore as you face off against terrifying new bosses. Act 2 also introduces a treasure trove of new items, including the enigmatic Tier 2 Waist gear known only as The Code. What secrets does this cryptic object hold? Let’s dive in and uncover the mystery of The Code.

What is The Code Item in Death Must Die

Many Death Must Die players have stumbled upon a very peculiar Tier 2 Unique Rare Item called The Code. Its description looks like computer code gone rogue:

public [Enumerable<Ability>

AbilityDamageEntries =

Array.Empty<Ability>();

This item left some players very confused; someone even reported it as a bug. Well, apparently, it’s just the devs having a bit of fun!

The Code isn't the only "useless" gear in Death Must Die that left players utterly bewildered. Others have also found a Unique Epic item called The Belt with a thrilling description:

It’s definitely just an ordinary belt.

So, no need to lose sleep over it! The developers clearly have a mischievous streak, and The Code is just the tip of the iceberg. They haven't just crafted a world teeming with fearsome foes and epic loot; they've sprinkled it with hidden jokes and Easter eggs. I'm sure there are tons more of these gems waiting to be discovered in the depths of hell.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
