Day of the Tentacle Remastered release date announced
Day of the Tentacle Remastered will be out this month, on March 22. The new edition of the classic adventure game is up for pre-orders on GOG.com with a discount.
Day of the Tentacle Remastered is coming very soon. The overhauled version of the cult classic adventure game will be released on March 22, 2016. On that day the title will hit all its target platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. Until then you can pre-order Day of the Tentacle Remastered on GOG.com with a 10% discount – its currently available for $13.49, the price will rise up to $14.99 after launch. Buying Day of the Tentacle Remastered on GOG.com will also get you the fully playable version of the original Maniac Mansion.
The original Day of the Tentacle was released by LucasArts in 1993, in the peak of the golden age of point-and-click adventure games. Its upcoming remastered version was developed by Tim Schafer’s Double Fine Productions, the studio that recently gave us Broken Age and Grim Fandango Remastered. In terms of gameplay and content, this is the same good, old Day of the Tentacle, but it has brand new hand painted HD artworks, reworked UI, and enhanced high-quality audio. However, if you’d like to relive the experience from days of yore, you can switch between classic and remastered modes at any time.
