Steam Hit Dave the Diver Got New Boss and Animals to Catch

Dave the Diver, one of this year's biggest surprises on Steam, has received a major update. The patch is numbered 1.0.1.1103 (Windows) and 1.0.1.226 (Mac OS). It introduces a number of new features and changes.

1. Players can now dive into additional side missionsthat are available at later stages of the game, previously focused on the main storyline.
2. Crab and lobster fishing option has been added along with the equipment to do so, as well as a "Lobster Party" event revolving around these crustaceans.
3. Players can encounter a new boss and discover mysterious fish species that appear only at night.
4. A wandering merchant has appeared in the game, offering unique items and new ingredients in exchange for unique dishes that players can serve him.
5. Players can now automate parts of their duties by hiring a helper. To do this, they can hire MC Sammy to help with daily chores on the farm. In addition, new equipment for storing eggs and feeding hens has been introduced.
6. The developers have also made improvements to gameplay balance and fixed several bugs.

Dave the Diver is available exclusively on PC. The game left early access on June 28 this year. Within 10 days after release of version 1.0 the game was bought by more than 1 million people. On October 15, the edition for the Nintendo Switch console will be released.
