Cyberpunk 2077's Night City Recreated in Minecraft

Fans who design worlds in Minecraft sure know how to surprise. A team called Elysium Fire prepared a real treat for fans of Cyberpunk 2077 and created a city inspired by Night City in Mojang's sandbox.

The Elysium Fire group consisting of 15 people has been working on a cyberpunk mod for Minecraft for a long time. Its goal was to create a city inspired by Night City from Cyberpunk 2077. The map, which took the fan band 18 months to build, is now available for download. All in all, two years were spent on the modification, together with the post-production. The creation process was presented in last year's video:

The neon city with megablocks and holograms created in Minecraft was divided into six districts, and it's impressive, truth be told. Just like in Cyberpunk 2077, you can enjoy ray tracing effects in Minecraft RTX Edition after uploading a pack called Neon District RTX. Of course, to enjoy ray tracing effects (shadows and lighting) you need a powerful PC with a GeForce RTX graphics card. Jeremy Sanchez, founder of the Elysium Fire group, revealed that with the right settings, however, you can visit the city on a PC equipped with components like an older generation Intel Core i5 processor and a GeForce GTX 970. Relax, samurai, the map will not necessarily burn your PC.

The metropolis of the future, although strongly inspired by the city from Cyberpunk 2077, is not a faithful reproduction of the Night City. Fans have not had access to any unique material from CD Projekt RED. They drew inspiration from a variety of sources, such as concept arts. Mostly, however, it is simply a product of the imagination of the authors. This is not the first project by Elysium Fire, which was modelled on the game of a Polish developer - earlier the team created a city strongly referring to Novigrad from The Witcher 3.
