Work on Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel Proceeding as Planned; CD Projekt Seeks Specialists
Although the potential release of a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 is still a song of the distant future, reports appearing from time to time prevent the project from being forgotten. The as-yet-unnamed game is reminded by a job announcement.
At the end of last year, official reports related to the planned continuation of Cyberpunk 2077 started to appear online. Project Orion, as it is referred to by the studio, is still at a very early stage of development. According to last year's reports from CD Projekt's CEO, the game is unlikely to leave the concept stage in 2023.
Inside the studio, however, preparations are undoubtedly underway for work on the project, as evidenced by the recently published job announcement. The title of the ad and the description clearly emphasize that the candidate for the role would be directed to work on the continuation of Cyberpunk 2077.
What is worth noting, the offer is directed to people living in the Boston area. This confirms earlier information that the new game will be largely worked on by a team from the emerging CD Projekt RED North America studio.
It is worth recalling that in addition to the distant sequel to Cyberpunk, CD Projekt RED is still working on the story DLC for the original game. It is expected to be released later this year. Also looming on the horizon is Project Polaris, which is another game set in The Witcher universe.
