Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Increases Importance of Clothing
Cyberpunk 2077 continues to receive quite a few modifications. One of the newer ones encourages players to choose their clothing carefully, preferably in a uniform style.
The love of dressing up is one of the lesser known, but common inclinations of gamers. Fans of digital entertainment can sometimes spend hours on choosing the most stylish or absurd outfit, often even creating special tools for this purpose. Usually it's an art for art's sake, possibly dictated by the stats, but one modder decided to make the wardrobe have a greater impact on the gameplay. Thus we got StreetStyle - Immersive Fashion System, a mod for Cyberpunk 2077 which rewards the players for their apparel style.
This description, although a bit exaggerated, is not far from the truth. The mod assigns a bonus to one of five attributes to each piece of clothing. This enables you to increase the chance of success in the case of activities that depend on a given stat, such as dialogues, and interactions with equipment. What's more, once the mod is installed, all of your outfits are also assigned a style from among Night City's four trends: neo-militaristic, entropic, kitsch, or neokitsch. If we choose more items belonging to the selected style, our character will receive additional bonuses to skill tests, this, according to TilW, the mod's creator, encourages a more consistent choice of clothes.
To keep things simple, TilW has somewhat balanced the effect of clothing on attributes. Although each element has a value from 1 to 5, the actual bonus to a given factor is much smaller, and the difficulty of "skill checks" has been modified. So don't count on the outfit alone making up for your character's shortcomings.
If you are interested in the StreetStyle - Immersive Fashion System project you can download it from Nexus Mods. To work it requires redescript, a compilation tool for Cyberpunk 2077. TilW also assured that the modification does not change the values of the basic attributes, so there are no problems after uninstalling it.
