Cyberpunk 2077 Producer Leaves CD Projekt RED
CD Projekt RED is losing another veteran. After 15 years, Jedrzej Mroz - one of the main producers of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 2 - is leaving the studio.
This is not the first time in recent years that someone key to the company's development has left CD Projekt. Previously, for example, it was Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the game director of The Witcher 3, as we reported in May last year. Now the thing concerns Jedrzej Mroz, who served as lead producer on such games as Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 2. His departure was announced on his LinkedIn profile.
In the aforementioned post, he thanked the CD Projekt RED team for their "spectacular" 15 years of work together. It goes on to say that he is leaving in search of something new. However, the developer didn't add anything else, so we don't know what he will be doing now.
Jedrzej Mroz began his career with CDPR in 2007 as a quality assurance (QA) specialist, which he was supposed to take care of for the first The Witcher. He later served as lead producer of The Witcher 2, to then, from 2012, work on Cyberpunk. At first he was the lead producer, but over time he took on more tasks. In 2020, he was also responsible for post-release support of the studio's latest game.
