Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Launch Trailer Relased
The launch trailer of the Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 has hit the web, introducing new characters. It also features a song by Dawid Podsiadlo.
The release of the first, and only, story expansion for Cyberpunk, namely Phantom Liberty, is just around the corner, so CD Projekt RED has released the final trailer for the DLC. You can see this atmospheric one-and-a-half-minute video below.
The launch trailer presents the new characters we will meet in Phantom Liberty: secret agent Solomon Reed played by Idris Elba, netrunner So Mi, Dogtown leader Kurt Hansen and President Rosalind Myers. The video also features V and Johnny Silverhand.
The grim tone of the trailer captures the atmosphere of Dogtown, new neighborhood we will visit in the upcoming DLC. Meanwhile, a new song by Dawid Podsiadlo can be heard in the background, provifing a theme song for Phantom Liberty. The Polish artist has previously collaborated with CD Projekt on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
In addition to the characters themselves, the trailer also shows fragments of gameplay. Attention is drawn, above all, to the moment when V pulls out a melee weapon while riding a motorcycle - chase combat was introduced to the game in update 2.0, and will also be available to try out in Dogtown.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will debut on September 26 at 1 a.m. CEST on PC and at midnight local time on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Console owners can already preload and install the DLC.
