Fan Continues to Bring Photorealism to Cyberpunk; HD Reworked Project 2.0 Trailer
Version 2.0 of the excellent mod called Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project is being developed. The creator has unveiled an impressive first trailer that shows off some of the improved textures.
Players eagerly count down the days until the release of the CP2077: Phantom Liberty DLC, but that's not the only initiative this year to improve the game. In March, a big mod called Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project debuted, which refreshed a ton of textures in CD Projekt RED's RPG. The mod's author, Halk Hogan, has just announced version 2.0.
The announcement was accompanied by the first trailer, which shows many of the textures the update will offer. As usual, the jump in quality is big, and the upgraded versions impress with their level of detail, while maintaining the game's atmosphere. Version 2.0 will both provide a sizable set of new textures and make improvements to those that were available in 1.0.
Premiere of Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project version 2.0 is scheduled for October. The author wants to release the mod some time after the release of Phantom Liberty, so that there will be no compatibility problems with the DLC and the latest update to the game.
It is worth mentioning that the mod for Cyberpunk 2077 is not the only project that Halk Hogan is currently working on. In further plans, he also has a new version of HD Reworked Project for The Witcher 3, which is being developed with the next-gen release of the game in mind. The creator reported that work on this modification is proceeding at a good pace, and new video footage should be released soon.
Recall that Cyberpunk 2077 debuted in December 2020. The game is available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, and the mods only work with the PC edition of the game. On the other hand CP2077: Phantom Liberty will be released on September 26 this year, exclusively on PC, XSX/S and PS5.
