Cyberpunk 2077 Glitch Compilation Prepared by Game's Devs Leaked
A funny video stolen by hackers from CD Projekt RED's servers has appeared on the web. It contains a compilation of bugs and glitches from Cyberpunk 2077 and was collected by the game's devs and QA.
Some time ago, CD Projekt RED fell victim to a hacker attack, which resulted in the the theft of a lot of data. It turns out that among it was a funny video prepared by the developers, presenting the worst bugs discovered during the work on Cyberpunk 2077. Now, the footage has hit the web.
Warning: adult content.
Before you proceed with the rest of this post, we must warn you just in case that there is no shortage of vulgarity and nudity in the videos.
The above video may be removed soon from YouTube (to be honest, it's a surprise that it hasn't happened yet). However, you can find mirrors in many other places, such as VGC.
Slava Lukyanenka (producer at CD Projekt RED) confirmed on Twitter that the video was indeed created at the studio and was prepared by the company's QA department as a joke. The tweet with this information was quickly deleted, but before that many people took a screenshot of the message.
After the video's publication, many people began to criticize the developers, considering that it proves that the studio knew about the game's dire technical condition and decided to release it anyway. In this case, however, it is an overinterpretation. Watching the video, it is obvious that it contains scenes from several years of testing. Many of them are from a very early version of the game and some of the problems shown there did not appear in version 1.0. We can only regret that not all of the bugs visible there were fixed before launch.
It's worth remembering that CD Projekt RED has already prepared similar videos. On the occasion of the tenth birthday of the first part of The Witcher, during PAX West 2017, a funny footage with bugs from Wild Hunt was shown. Of course, the current case is different. Cyberpunk 2077 is still a lot short of beingperfect, so it is likely that the devs do not yet feel like making fun of the technical condition of this project.
Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10, 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Google Stadia. The game debuted in a terrible technical condition, so from we receive new patches and fixes on a fairly regular basis. The devs have recently assured that they will not abandon the game, so we can expect many more updates.
