Cyberpunk 2077 With New Support; CD Projekt Hires Modders

CD Projekt RED will be enlisting the help of modders while working on Cyberpunk 2077. The studio has hired the company that created the WolvenKit tool to work on further mod support, but also various game systems.

A popular theory on the web says that some developers don't remove bugs, because they expect modders to fix them. Apparently, one developer has decided to go in a slightly different direction. We're talking about CD Projekt RED, which established cooperation with well-known modders to help with Cyberpunk 2077. The news was announced on Discord by Hambalko "Traderain" Bence, one of the authors of WolvenKit - a mod toolkit for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077.

Traderain joined CD Projekt RED with three other modders: Blumster, Kote "Nightmarea" Akos (also responsible for the development of WolvenKit) and rfuzzo (author of CP77 Tools) as part of YigSoft, a company hired by the studio. Their task will be to work on further support of fan mods in Cyberpunk 2077 as well as on various projects related to the game's backend. No details were given.
