Cyberpunk 2077 for $5 is Too Expensive For Some Complainers
Cyberpunk 2077 was temporarily available in the US for $5. Despite this, some players were not convinced to buy CD Projekt RED's game, stigmatizing it as extremely underpolished.
Yesterday during a big sale at Best Buy you could get Cyberpunk 2077 for consoles for 5 dollars. It's a great deal, isn't it? Well, not for everyone.
For THIS game? Forget it, too much...
We all know, how Cyberpunk 2077 was at launch and if we could forget about it, the world would be a better place.
However, as they say - you only have one chance at making the first impression. Therefore, a large part of the players still consider CD Projekt RED's work as a game not worth more than a dollar.
"The price is still $4.01 too high."
"I'll buy it, but if it was for a dollar..."
There are quite a few such comments, and most of them can be found under the articles advertising the offer, although they can also be found on Reddit. As I mentioned, some gamers still can not recover from the failure that Cyberpunk wason release. Here is one such comment.
"The plot was boring as hell, topped off with poor gameplay and all those stupid bugs that were supposedly fixed. There are so many better games to play that I don't know why anyone would waste their time on this."
"Not really. The plot is lame, the open world is one big case of 'look, but don'y touch because we haven't programmed anything to do in the city other than new jobs,' and the loot system is actually a terrible reference to the loot system from Borderlands, which is not very satisfying. Not to mention, even after the latest patch, I still can't get this game to run without gamebreaking bugs."
Where is this outrage coming from? After all, the game works well
In February Cyberpunk 2077 received a long-awaited patch, which fixed a lot of bugs and positively affected the game's condition. Some users have noticed the improvement and as we can also read in the comments - do not buy Cyberpunk for 5 dollars, it's hard to believe.
"People certainly have legitimate grievances about the initial version of the game being inferior to what was promised. Still, the game as it stands, especially with the latest patch, is great. For $5, it's simply amazing."
"[...] For $5 there is definitely a lot to play here. The plot wasn't a problem and it's definitely worth spending $5 for the story alone. I would advise people to buy it at that price and decide for themselves, but I don't think there will be many unhappy with spending $5 on this game."
It should be noted that the deal was only valid in the U.S. so don't spit in your beard that you missed such an opportunity. Even if there is currently no special deal for Cyberpunk in your country, it's definitely worth giving the game a chance.
