Cuphead DLC Was Almost 5 Years in the Making, and It was Worth It
Starting today, fans of Cuphead can taste the long-awaited expansion titled The Delicious Last Course. Although the DLC does not introduce a revolution, it has received excellent reviews among critics.
Stylish platformer Cuphead hit the market in 2017, instantly becoming an international phenomenon. Unusual visuals, music reminiscent of old Disney cartoons and extremely high difficulty level made the title famous all over the world, winning the hearts of a huge number of gamers in the process.
Today, after almost five years after the release of the original, the patience of fans has been rewarded, as the an DLC entitled The Delicious Last Course has been released. Looking at its reviews, one can say with a clear conscience that it was worth waiting so long.
Reading through the texts collected on Metacritic, we learn that critics praise mainly the animation, music and design of the new bosses. Admittedly, there are complaints about the difficulty level being too high, but as I mentioned earlier - this is the reason why people loved Cuphead in the first place. On the plus side, the newly-introduced character of Ms. Chalice also deserves a mention. All this translates into an average rating of currently 89% for the PC version (based on 26 reviews).
