CS2 Changes Maps and Modes; Adds Swimming Chickens
The test version of Counter-Strike 2 has received a new update. One of the changes is teaching chickens to swim.
The eyes of fans of online shooters are now turned primarily to the upcoming Counter-Strike 2. Testing of this game is currently underway and yesterday the devs released another patch for this project.
What's new in CS2?
The update brings some significant changes:
Changes in gameplay
- Wingman mode has been disabled.
- The Anubis map can now be played in Deathmatch, Casual and Competitive modes.
- On the Ancient map, on the other hand, Deathmatch and Casual mode are available.
- The Overpass and Vertigo maps have been removed.
Changes in animations
- Improved head animation when crouching while running.
- Improved the animation of the feet when moving quickly from standing still to moving.
Other changes
- Chickens have learned to swim.
- Water splashes when a weapon is dropped into it.
- Improved grenade and water interaction sounds.
CS2 is heading exclusively for PC and will use F2P model. The original plan was for the game to come out of beta this summer, but it is currently unclear whether Valve will be able to meet that deadline. The game is expected to replace Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Interest in the sequel is high, as the old-school CSGO, despite being eleven years old, is more popular than ever. Three months ago it set a activity record at 1,818,773 concurrent players.
