Crysis Remastered vs. Crysis Enhanced Edition Mod Comparison
User Digital Dreams published a video on YouTube, showing the differences between Crysis Remastered and the fan-made mod called Crysis Enhanced Edition.
In July we informed about a mod created by RemasterStudio Team, called Crysis Enhanced Edition. This is a mod that enables us to play a beautified version of the first installment of Crysis from 2007. However, the official remaster of the same installmrnt has recently appeared on the market, Crysis Remastered. For this reason, one of the YouTube users, Digital Dreams, came up with an idea to compare the two projects.
In the video we can see that Crysis Remastered offers a more realistic lighting system thanks to SVOGI (Sparse Voxel Octree Global Illumination) - making all the characters and interiors look more attractive. The mod gives us better environment - shadows of grass, nicer reflections on the water and refined fog and sky effects. It also seems that Crysis Enhanced Edition works faster in 4K and handles high-quality textures better. So to summarise, if RemasterStudio Team managed to introduce SVOGI into their project, the Enhanced Edition could be better than the official remastered version.
It is worth remembering that the free version of the mod offers only basic experience, 4K and 8K textures are available for download only for those who support the creators on Patreon.
