Creators of Famous Skyrim Mod Work on Their Commercial Debut
SureAI Group announced the end of support for the Skyrim mod called Enderal: Forgotten Stories. The authors - as they explain - want to deal with a new, commercial project.
Enderal: Forgotten Stories will certainly be warmly remembered by fans of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. After all, this mod is an ambitious, standalone title with a completely oryginal storyline, setting and new mechanics. Suffice it to say that the project debuted on Steam in 2019, which doesn't happen for every fan-made mod. German modding group SureAI has just announced the end of support for their project, while letting the world know that they are working on their new, this time commercial work.
The creators announced the end of work on the mod on the occasion of the publication of the last patch notes for Enderal. The final update came out on January 17:
"The new patch 1.6.4.0 is now available! This patch will be the final one for Enderal, because we no longer have the amount of free time we used to have to keep on patching it! This also means that we will not create a port for Skyrim Special Edition. SureAI is currently working on a new, commercial project which will hopefully be announced this year. So stay tuned for news and keep an eye on our social media channels."
The lack of support for TES V: Skyrim Special Edition means that the mod can still only be played on the classic or legendary version of Skyrim. In addition to the message about the end of support, the creators posted a handful of announcements relating to the issues fixed in the patch, as well as information about the implementation of the Korean translation to the mod.
Based on such a small amount of information it's difficult to say what the new game of the German team will be. In their portfolio, in addition to the successful Enderal, we will also find Nehrim: At Fate's Edge, a mod for the fourth installment of The Elder Scrolls series - Oblivion, which can also be found on Steam. As you can see, the team already has experience with open-world action RPGs. SureAI's previous works are kept in a fantasy settings, so we assume that the new project will also follow this pattern.
