Disappointing Crash Bandicoot Game With Release Date and Gameplay
The object of many gamers' disappointment, Crash Team Rumble, has lived to see new gameplay and a release date revealed.
Announced in late 2022 Crash Team Rumble is a multiplayer action game reminiscent of Nintendo's iconic Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The announcement, unfortunately, was not met with a very warm reception, although the attitude of players towards the project may yet change. This, however, we will come to judge at the premiere - June 20, this year, according to what was announced today by the developers.
We can also take a peek at first gameplay footage. Videos from various youtubers have appeared online (one available below) and based on this we can form a preliminary opinion about the game. Comments from viewers express a rather positive attitude, even if most would prefer the new installment to be a classic platformer - in terms of performance Crash Team Rumble looks good.
The sample shows the style of the clashes between two teams of four players. Among the characters to choose from are, of course, some very familiar to fans of the universe, as well as brand new ones. They are to fight for dominance by collecting Wumpa fruits and using their unique abilities - in all of this, the division of roles is also important.
The devs are also preparing beta tests for those who purchase the game before its release - they will take place on April 20-24. The price of the game is $29.99 bundled with Battle Pass Premium for the first season. There is also a Deluxe edition ($39.99) with access to the Battle Pass for two seasons and a set of cosmetic extras. Crash Team Rumble will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles..
What are your impressions? For me, it remains to say (with a little bitterness) one thing: it's a shame that a remake of Crash Bash was not announced instead.
