Fallout 3 is the first game in the franchise from Bethesda. The title was a shift from the approach of the previous installments. The series became TPP and FPP RPG with action/shooter elements, in the contrast to isometric tactical RPG, which it used to be. The universe of post-apocalyptic North America was still the same, though. With the release of the show, many people, even those who did not play the game, became interested in this world. People are looking especially for the protagonist such as Lucy, Maximus and The Ghoul. Let’s talk about Cooper Howard and his part in the series.

Cooper Howard Role in Fallout 3 Explained

The history of ghouls is quite tragic. They were once humans. However, they have changed due to the intense exposure on radiation; mostly during The Great War of 2077. As you have probably figured it out, they can live for hundreds of years. It is no different for The Ghoul from the show. We even know a little bit about his pre-war past – he was an actor.

Taking above into consideration, it is not a crazy idea that he could appear in the games. However, not this time. Main protagonists from the TV series are new ones. They are introduced for the show purpose. It is probably due to the fact that directors wanted to present a fresh story, their story. Using characters with roots in the lore would define their personalities and place in the world.

So, The Ghoul (or Cooper Howard) does not appear in the games, yet. Of course, we can’t rule out the possibility that he will be part of Fallout 5. We also firmly believe that it is only a matter of time before modders will add this character to older games. Let’s wait and see.
