Conquest of Skyrim Enables Us to Run Our Own Faction in TES5
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will receive a modification that will enable us to create and lead our own faction, independent of the Empire and the Stormcloaks. The mod's release is expected to take place in the next few months.
While playing Skyrim and wondering which side in the civil war is closer to your heart, have you ever concluded that you don't identify with any of them and would rather lead your own faction that represents your ideals? If so, you are about to get the opportunity to realize that vision thanks to a modification called Conquest of Skyrim.
Right or wrong?
Conquest of Skyrim is supposed to offer quite a lot of options. Our faction will be able to include any character, depending on our preferences. We'll get the option to lead soldiers living off the work of subordinate peasants, a small group of hunters or bandits mercilessly attacking caravans and robbing law-abiding citizens.
The struggle for supremacy
When you feel confident enough, you can even challenge the Empire and the Stormcloaks to a war for dominance over Skyrim. There will be an option to conquer more villages, towns, hideouts and forts. However, this is not the end. To maintain control over a domain, it will be necessary to properly manage and satisfy the basic needs of the subjects. They will return the favor with supplies (especially food), enabling us to maintain the faction and the army.
The power of a jarl
Conquering a city and taking it under rule as a jarl will also mean that we will have to listen to the problems and complaints of our subjects and resolve any conflicts. In addition, we'll get the ability to lock up any resident and then judge them.
Sound less exciting? If so, fortunately we will not have to take the position of a jarl personally. Nothing will prevent us from appointing our own representative, who will sit on the throne of a given city for us, after swearing an oath of loyalty of course.
Creator
The creator of Conquest of Skyrim is a Reddit user galvatron530. As he admitted in the announcement, he's been preparing this modification for half a year, but he needs a few more months to bring it to a version that can be shared. His work will be available for free on Nexus mods. If we would like to support him financially, we can do so on Patreon.
The basic version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim debuted on the market in November 2011. Thanks to numerous modifications, Bethesda's RPG has a large group of fans and continues to enjoy considerable popularity.
