First Gameplay Trailer of CoD: Modern Warfare 3 Recalls Iconic Missions
The first gameplay trailer from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has hit the web. Actual gameplay footage is scarce in the video, but the video catches the eye with fragments of familiar missions from the upcoming campaign.
As previously announced, Activision released new footage from the next installment in the popular RPS series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. You can see the two-minute trailer for the game below.
Although the video is titled "Gameplay Reveal Trailer," you can see literally only a few short shots of actual gameplay. We see, among others, a fragment showing the communication of commandos underwater and the moment when the player is lowered on a rope into the depths of a dark room (here the night vision mode engages).
The trailer focuses on the single-player campaign and the presentation (very limited) of the story. So you can see old friends from previous parts, as well as locations that bring to mind games from the original Modern Warfare. For a moment you can even see the famous phrase "No Russian"..
The game is a direct sequel to Modern Warfare II - terrorist Vladimir Makarov returns and expands his influence throughout the world. Members of Strike Force 141 have to face a great threat and take part in "a clash they didn't expect."
On the occasion of the release of the trailer, Activision released an article introducing the upcoming Modern Warfare 3. It was confirmed that on its debut day, the game will offer 16 refreshed maps from 2009's MW2, which will be adapted to new game modes. More arenas (there are to be 12) will be added within seasons.
In addition, in MW3 we will experience completely new things, including so-called Open Combat Missions. As part of these stages in the campaign, the player will make their own decisions on how to act, with a lot of tactical freedom. You can learn more about this topic here.
Standard version of CoD: MW3 costs $69, while the Vault Edition $99. The game will debut on November 10 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S and PC.
