New Game by Limbo and Inside Dev Got Release Date

Cocoon, a puzzle game developed by Jeppe Carlsen - chief gameplay designer for the iconic Limbo and Inside - has lived to see a release date. The title, which was hailed as the most anticipated indie game of Summer Game Fest 2023, will go on sale on September 29, this year. The announcement is accompanied by an atmospheric trailer, available below.
Cocoon is heading to PC and consoles. As for the latter, the title will hit Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The game will also be available through Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
- Cocoon will take us to a fantasy universe, which we will traverse in the skin of a character resembling a hybrid of a human and an insect.
- The gameplay in Cocoon will focus on exploring diverse worlds housed in miniature spheres and solving puzzles.
- The puzzles will involve moving between worlds (often in a specific order) and skillfully using the properties of individual spheres.
