Cliff Bleszinski Teases New Project With a Dog and Cyberpunk City
The well-known video game developer Cliff Bleszinski is working on a new project. We don't know what it will be, but the father of the Gears of War series has shown off some art depicting a dog against the backdrop of a cyberpunk city.
Cliff Bleszinski is a figure who needs no introduction in the video game industry. Unreal, Unreal Tournament and Gears of War are the dev's top achievements, but he also participated in the development of Bulletstorm, for example. However, after the failed LawBreakers and Radical Heights and the closure of his studio Boss Key Productions in 2018, the popular "Cliffy B" said goodbye to the industry. At least for a while, because in April, Bleszinski announced via Twitter that he was working on several new things and was suffering from not being able to talk about them. Yesterday, the dev revealed this:
This is supposed to be one of the things that Cliff Bleszinski is currently working on. It's possible that it's a game, though knowing the developer's affairs with other art forms, we can't be so sure. It seems, that "Cliffy B" intends to reappear in the industry, and the dog looking over the cyberpunk city is a harbinger of his return. What specific role the animal will play in the project remains to be seen. What's interesting, the hero of the above picture was to be inspired by this gentleman:
It's hard to speculate what Bleszinski's project might be, but assuming that we're dealing with a video game, we should expect a rather smaller title. As the developer said in October, last year, he's currently interested in such titles, while "the success of Fall Guys and Among Us gives him hope that not every project has to be a AAA game, the development of which requires mad crunching, threatens to break up families and loss of mental health, not to mention needing a 100 million budget." So here it is. For now we can only wait for more information and keep our fingers crossed that this time "Cliffy B" is up to the challenge he set for himself.
