Before the end of the year, Capcom is expected to announce its next big game, which are to bring the company huge profits. Unfortunately for RE fans, according to rumors, it will not be another remake of the bestselling survival horror game series.
Known among fans of Capcom games, user Dusk Golem has revealed recently that the Japanese publisher will announce a new game later this year. The title is expected to be released in March 2024 at the latest. Capcom expects the sales volume to reach millions of copies, which leads us to believe that we will get an announcement of a game from one of company's well-known series. It looks like it will not be another remake of Resident Evil, but something completely different. According to the insider we will not get any game from the series next year.
Rumor has it that the new big title will be another installment of Monster Hunter. During a presentation at Tokyo Game Show 2023, the developers winked to monster-hunting enthusiasts, letting them suspect that another installment is coming. Some fans are hoping for a remake of Dino Crisis, but this is unlikely. The release of a new Monster Hunter will probably also be enjoyed by owners of the successor to the Switch console from Nintendo.
The perfect opportunity to announce the new title will be at the The Game Awards gala, which will take place on December 8 this year at 10:30 a.m. PST.
The new part of RE will most likely be released only in 2025. This year's remake of Resident Evil 4 was received very warmly - the title received as much as 97% positive reviews on Steam, where it was rated by more than 71,000 players, as well as very high ratings from critics.
