Check Out Spectacular New Trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3; Full Presentation Coming Soon
A new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has hit the web, revealing an antagonist familiar to fans of the series.
On Monday, August 7 the devs officially revealed the latest Call of Duty game, bearing - no surprise - the subtitle Modern Warfare 3. It will debut on November 10, this year.
Today, in turn, an intriguing trailer for this game appeared online (available below). It revealed the game's antagonist - Makarov, whom fans of the series will face not for the first time...
"We know our target - Makarov"
The somewhat mysterious trailer shows Makarov as a prison inmate. On his way through the solitary confinement facility, he is "accompanied" by flashbacks, revealing the setting of the latest CoD.
- The published material shows that the game will feature an underwater sequence, similar to the one from the original from 2011.
- In the 57th second of the trailer, you can see a building, whose facade is deceptively reminiscent of the prison from the "Gulag" mission from 2012's Modern Warfare 2 (this location did not appear in last year's reboot).
- An fragment from the trailer at 1:15 suggests that in the new Modern Warfare we will come - at least for a moment - to look at the massacre of civilians from the perspective of a helpless bystander.
- Traditionally, the theme of one of the locations will be a destroyed aircraft.
- Considering the uniforms of the guards around Makarov, as well as the inscriptions on the wall at 1:16, we can assume that part of the action will take place in the Russian Federation.
- The trailer clearly suggests that the goal of the players (presumably Strike Force 141) will be to find and eliminate Makarov; "We don't know his next target, but we know our target - Makarov."
It's worth noting that tracking down Makarov was the theme of the third installment of Modern Warfare - the one from 2011. The antagonist himself first appeared in the series two years earlier - in the campaign of MW2.
It's safe to assume that the crowning of the "reset" trilogy's title will also refer to the original in this aspect - i.e. it's unlikely that "CoD: Modern Warfare 4" will be released any time soon.
More details on the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 should be known as early as August 17 - for that is when the "worldwide reveal" of the game is scheduled.
