Call of Duty Mobile has More Downloads Than EU has Citizens

Call of Duty Mobile has already been downloaded hundreds of millions of times. The exact number far exceeds the population of the European Union.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Call of Duty Mobile has already over 650 million downloads;
  • That's a larger number than the entire population of the European Union;
  • Players spent more than $1 billion in the game last year.

2021 has turned out to be a record year for Call of Duty Mobile. The game recorded huge profits and attracted millions of players.

The exact numbers were shared by Activision Blizzard in a recent report addressed to investors.

Huge revenues and millions of players

The huge success of Call of Duty Mobile in 2021 was influenced, among other things, by the game's release in China. As a result of this move, the game hit a market full of potential buyers.

This quickly translated into the popularity of the game. To date, the game has been downloaded by more than 650 million people. For comparison, this number is significantly larger than the population of the entire European Union (in 2021 it was 447 million citizens).

Activision Blizzard wrote in the report that the monthly number of active CoD Mobile players matches the corresponding results of CoD on consoles and PCs.

This, of course, translates into very high revenues. Last year, players spent more than a billion dollars in CoD Mobile .

Such impressive numbers clearly suggest that the release of the mobile version of the popular series was the right decision. No one should also be surprised by the plans for further investments in this sector, obviously full of potential.
