Build and defend a fort in Fortnite, starting this Thursday
Fortnite players will get to try their hand at a new game mode this Thursday. Horde Bash will let you defend your pre-build fort from waves of monsters.
Epic Games has announced Horde Bash, a new game mode that is going to be added to the TPP online shooter Fortnite this Thursday on October 5. In it, a team of four players will get to defend their self-built fort from vicious attacks of monsters. Before the assault starts you will have “unlimited time, but limited resources to build a portable horde fort”, says the description of the official website. When you think your fort is ready, it is time to put it to a test. Successfully repelling waves of enemies will be rewarded with more resources, which you can use to upgrade your defences.
Along with the mode comes an exclusive Scavenger Llama with four new heroes with unique perks, nine weapons, and two Defenders. You can get that for the Scavenger currency, attainable by completing quests and taking part in Challenge The Horde mode.
So far, Fortnite has only been available in early access on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 since late July. Apart from the paid full version, Epic has also released the free Fortnite: Battle Royale. The publisher has just revealed that the two versions have been played by over 7 million players.
