Bloody Harvest Event in Borderlands 3 Will Launch in October
We have learned that the Halloween event in Borderlands 3, Bloody Harvest, will start in October and will last about a month and a half. On this occasion, new opponents, map, weapons and much more will appear in the game.
In our August news you could read that the first event for Borderlands 3 will appear shortly after the game's release. However, it will be much earlier than we expected, as Bloody Harvest will start at the beginning of October. A brand new, scary map, weapons, skins and a terrifying boss will be added to the game. All this will be available to players who have alrady left Pandora in the story campaign and can travel between planets. The whole thing will last about a month and a half.
As we learned from The Borderlands Show, there will be possessed opponents in the galaxy who will be a kind of pass to a new location. After killing them, a ghost will escape from the dead body, after which the player will gain a bit of hectoplasm. This can be returned to Maurice, who will appear aboard Sanctuary III and will open access to the event map. The battle against ghosts, however, will not be a simple one, because these will impose strong debuffs, which will make the fight much more difficult (for example, limited field of view and accuracy).
In addition to scary versions of known enemies, the map also features a new boss, Captain Haunt, who is a skeletal version of Captain Traunt, reinforced with several terrifying attacks. There will also be new legendary weapons and shields in the game, which will introduce debuffs used by the aforementioned ghosts. There is also a chance that the same modification will be applied to objects dropping from possessed enemies, ghosts and Captain Haunt.
The Halloween event is also a great opportunity to test new weapon skins or Vault Hunter skins in battle.
We also learned that the VR version of Borderlands 2 will be available on Steam on October 22 with a complete DLC package. On the same day we will also receive detailed information about the next event - Maliwan Takedown.
