Trailer for Blade Runner: Black Lotus Available
Blade Runner: Black Lotus has received its first trailer. The anime based on the iconic sci-fi movie will premiere later this year.
The first trailer for Blade Runner: Black Lotus, an anime series, whose story is to be based on the iconic Blade Runner, has appeared on YouTube. The action is set in Los Angeles in 2032, so between the events known from the original picture with Harrison Ford and the sequel with Ryan Gosling. The show will present the story of Elle, known as Black Lotus - an android with special abilities. The trailer leads us to believe that the heroine escaped from her creators and now she is being pursued by them, and the animation will focus on discovering her past. Anyway - see for yourself!
At this point it is known that Blade Runner: Black Lotus will be released in English and Japanese versions. The show will consist of 13 episodes, which will be directed by Shinji Aramaki (Ultraman, Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045) and Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, SAC_2045). The series is produced by Alcon Entertainment and Sola Digital Arts, and the creative producer is Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop).
Blade Runner: Black Lotus will debut this fall on Adult Swim and Crunchyroll.
