Yesterday's presentation by Annapurna Interactive brought us information about an upcoming game set in the Blade Runner universe.

Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth, as this production is called, is being developed by Annapurna Interactive's in-house studio, for which it will be the first project as developers.

Dark trailer

On the occasion of the game's announcement, a short trailer was presented, maintained in a dark and enigmatic dystopian atmosphere - similar to that known from Ridley Scott's films. Anyway, see for yourself.

Although we don't know much about the new Blade Runner game so far, it's product card on Steam reveals that the game will represent the adventure game genre.

This information, combined with the dark atmosphere of the announcement, enables us to assume that the new game from Annapurna Interactive will mainly focus on a disturbing story straight from the movies.

The action of the game will take place after the events told in the spin-off animation Blade Runner: Black Out 2022, between the main installments of the movie series. Specific information about the title from Annapurna Interactive is expected in the coming months.

It is worth noting that Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth will not be the first game set in this cyberpunk universe. After all, the first was Blade Runner from 1997. This title was a point-and-click adventure game and was based mainly on solving puzzles. In June 2022, the game lived to see a remaster, which came to PC and PS4, XOne and Switch consoles.

At the very end, I will point out that Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth is scheduled for release on PC and as yet unspecified consoles.
