Here we list mods that will allow you to bring more Harry Potter to the Hogwarts Legacy experience. After a long wait, the game finally allowed us to get that dream letter from Hogwarts!
Hogwarts Legacy has been a huge hit. So far, over 12 million copies have been sold and you can expect that number to increase each week for a while. This should not surprise anyone, because who, after reading a Harry Potter book, didn’t want to become a wizard and wander the grounds of the most famous School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Unfortunately, the action of the game is set many years before the books. This means that during the game, we don't meet any familiar faces (with a small exception). Fortunately, mods come to the rescue – some of them introduce elements known from the series to our TV and computer screens. In this article, we list mods that allow us to make Hogwarts Legacy more like the Harry Potter we know!
How to install mods?
However, before we get to the list of our favorite mods, let's do a quick recap on how to install them. This isn't a difficult task if you follow the instructions below.
- Visit the Nexus Mods website, it has a dedicated Hogwarts Legacy hub;
- Select the modification you wish to install;
- Read the mod's instructions. Some of them require additional steps!
- Select the "Files" tab and then the "Manual download" option;
- Unzip the downloaded file;
- Copy its contents to the game folder. The default path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks";
- Restart the game and you should be all set.
Spell mods
The first category of mods we review change the character's voice when casting a spell. Who wouldn't want their hero to say "Expelliarmus" in the same way as Severus Snape did during the duel with Gilderoy Lockhart? Or Hermione Granger teaching Ron Weasley how to pronounce Wingardium Leviosa correctly? If you care about these details and memories, here’s something for you surely. Among others, we've also found a mod that allows you to say the Unforgivable Curses in the voice of Lord Voldemort himself.
Bombarda in Dolores Umbridge voice
The most disliked teacher from the book series found her way to Hogwarts Legacy. It's understandable that you won't like to use Bombarda from now on. The link to the mod is here.
Mad-Eye Moody's Unforgivable Curses
If you always wanted to take part in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class that Harry Potter and his friends attended in their fourth year at Hogwarts, definitely check out this mod. From now on, Cruciatus, Imperius and Avada Kedavra spells will be casted in the voice of Alastor Moody.
Harry Potter spells voice
The first of several mods introducing elements from Harry Potter movies. Thanks to this modification, some spells will be cast with the voice of Daniel Radcliffe. Turns out there aren't that many.
Severus Snape's voice
The death of Albus Dumbledore was a big shocker to all of us. From now on, you can relive that moment every time you use Avada Kedavra in Hogwarts Legacy. All thanks to this modification, which replaces the original sound of Adava Kedavra with the voice of Severus Snape. That's not all – Expeliarmus also had the cast voice replaced, recreating the famous casting of the spell on the unsuspecting Gilderoy Lockhart.
Hermione Granger spells voice
“It's Leviosa, not Leviosaaa!” Thanks to this modification, you'll not only be able to help some of the struggling students understand how the spell is pronounced, but you'll do it with the voice of Hermione Granger herself.
Lord Voldemort's voice
The most powerful wizard from the Harry Potter universe has finally arrived in Hogwarts Legacy. If after the eight parts of the books/movies, your favorite character is still Voldemort, then these two mods are just for you. They change the casting voice of Avada Kedavra and Cruciatus to none other than Lord Voldemort’s himself.
Mods that change the appearance of the character
As you already know, Hogwarts Legacy is a prequel that takes place many years before the events involving all the characters known from the books. However, that doesn't mean we can't play as these characters – mod creators rose to the occasion and added a few faces familiar from the silver screen into the game.
Lord Voldemort
In this metaverse, Tom Marvolo Riddle realized that he cannot beat Harry Potter in a fair and square game. Therefore, using the Time-Turner, he went back to the moment when the young wizard had not yet been born. Will he manage to take over Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? This modification allows you to play Hogwarts Legacy as Harry Potter's best friend. This, paired with the Hermione Granger Spell Sounds modification will offer full immersion. Maybe this time you can choose a different house?

A wand is the wizard's most crucial tool. Every magician must have one. Only a chosen few in Hogwarts can do magic without it. However, the wand models available in Hogwarts Legacy may not appeal to everyone. So, here are mods that introduce new wands akin to those we know from cinemas.
Lucius Malfoy's wand
With this modification, you can feel like one of the most loyal Death Eaters.
Lord Voldemort's wand
This mod introduces the wand wielded by You-Know-Who. May it not fail you at the most important moment.
Elder Wand
This modification adds Lord Voldemort's most coveted Deathly Hallow, which will make it easier for you to defeat your opponents.

Nimbus 2000 and Nimbus 2001
This broom may seem out of place in the world of Hogwarts Legacy, but Nimbus 2000 is one of the finest flying contraptions of the wizard world, allowing you to feel just like Harry Potter did during Quidditch matches. Good thing the Whomping Willow hasn't been planted yet. However, if you, like Draco Malfoy, believe that a better broom can make up for talent, then you will definitely want to fly the Nimbus 2001.
Ford Anglia 105e
If you, similarly to Harry and Ron, have missed the train to Hogwarts, Ford Anglia comes to the rescue. The car must have hit a wormhole, as it found its way to Hogwarts Legacy, to a time when cars haven't even been invented yet.
