Bayonetta 3 Devs Ask Fans to Respect Voice Actresses
The studio developing Bayonetta 3 is calling for withhelding of comments at the actresses providing the voice of the game's main character. PlatinumGames says it appreciates the contributions of every co-creator in the series.
We have a continuation of the story of "derogatory" salary for dubbing the voice of the main character in Bayonetta 3. The studio responsible for the game is asking fans to show restraint in the context of comments aimed at contributors to the series.
Refrain from commenting
PlatinumGames has published a message on Twitter, calling for an end to attacks on new voice actress Jennifer Hale, who replaced Hellena Taylor. The company provideds her with full support. As stated in the message, "PlatinumGames appreciates everyone who has contributed to the years-long creation of the Bayonetta series, including the community that forms its foundation."
Paychceck affair for dubbing work
Hellena Taylor, who resigned to work with PlatinumGames on Bayonetta 3 (she previously had a hand in the creation of the previous two installments), suggested that she did so because of the "derogatory" pay - as she claimed she was to be paid just $4,000 for her role.
In response to an outbreak of online hate, Hideki Kamiya, president of PlatinumGames, denied Taylor's words and resorted to blocking comments on Twitter. Soon, however, journalists, including Jason Schreier from Bloomberg news agency, were to catch Hellena Taylor on a lie. The salary she quoted was allegedly heavily understated. You can find more information on this subject in this news.
The release of Bayonetta 3 will take place on October 28, this year, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
