Battlefield 6 May be Announced in May

According to the latest leaks, Electronic Arts is planning to announce Battlefield 6 this May. The rumor matches the official statements that hinted at a spring date for the game's reveal.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. The announcement of the latest installment of the Battlefield series will probably take place in May this year.

Battlefield 6 will probably be announced in May. The rumor was reported by Jeff Grubb, editor of GamesBea, during his podcast. The topic of Battlefield series came up after one of the listeners asked about DICE's game.

Grubb later clarified his statement that everything is still being discussed behind the scenes and may change, but Electronic Arts is aiming for a May reveal for the latest installment of the most popular shooter series in the portfolio.

Early indications from EA's chief are that Battlefield 6 will aim primarily at current-gen consoles, allowing for impressive visuals and an extensive damage system. Rumors also mentionthe game being set (at least partially) within the borders of Kazakhstan. Criterion Games once again assists in the development of the sixth installment, probably being responsible, as in the case of Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefield V, for the vehicles.

Battlefield6 will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox X and, if rumors are to be believed, also on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
