Battlefield 6 Announcement This May?

Electronic Arts' past practice suggests that the latest installment of the Battlefield series will be announced just before the release of the new financial report - on May 10 or 11.

Everything seems to indicate that we'll soon get an announcement of the new Battlefield (via TweakTown). It will probably happen just before or just after the publication of the new quarterly financial report of Electronic Arts, which is scheduled for May 11.

This is consistent with previous reports and company policy - in recent years, Battlefield games were always announced a few days / weeks before (as was the case with Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1), or at most a few weeks after (Battlefield V) the publication of the report on the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal year.

A new leak about the game appeared on the web, the source of which is again leaker Tom Henderson (author of reports from a few days ago). He repeated some of the things he mentioned earlier - according to him, the game will focus on a fictional conflict between the USA and Russia. We take on the role of soldiers of "fallen nations" who will be able to carry out missions for both superpowers. This contradicts recent information from Reddit, which suggested that individual nations would be assigned to a specific faction.

Henderson also writes about cosmetic items, which - due to the nature of the setting in which the action takes place - may be a bit "crazy". The game is also to feature a robot dog, whose appearance will be customizable.

Battlefield 6 is to debut during the Christmas period, this year. The target platforms are not known, but we can assume that PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will be on the list.
