New Update for Battlefield 2042 Will Improve Hitboxes and More

A new update for Battlefield 2042 is coming out on December 9, and it will be the last update of the year.

IN A NUTSHELL:

  • On December 9 update 3.1 for Battlefield 2042 will be launched. The update is designed to improve balance and fix some bugs;
  • Due to the Holiday break, this will be the last update to the game released this year.

On December 9, Battlefield 2042 Update 3.1 will be released. Compared to the update from a few days ago, which added weekly missions, among other things, the new patch is expected to bring several gameplay balance improvements and other bug fixes.

The list of major changes includes:

  • A fix for a rare bug where a player could appear invisible to enemies;
  • Improvements to bullets hit registration consistency;
  • Improvements to bullets hit registration consistency;
  • Fixes a bug that caused soldiers' footsteps to not always generate sounds suitable for a given room;
  • Further balance changes to Ground Vehicle 30mm, 40mm, and 57mm Cannons to reduce their effectiveness against infantry;
  • Fixes for several bugs related to Grenades and Launchers;
  • Improvements to the menu flow for Xbox players to make it easier to opt-out of Cross-Play.

This will be the final update to Battlefield 2042 this year. The reason for this is that the developers want to take a Holiday break so that when they return to work they can tackle the first season of the game with renewed energy.
