The first reviews of Battlefield 2042, which will have the official release on November 19, have appeared online. The game is rated very positively, and what caught the attention of reviewers is one of the introduced multiplayer modes and a large progress in terms of map capacity. The biggest controversy about this year's game is the lack of a single-player mode.

One might think that this year's BF is just another installment in the series, but that's not exactly true. What distinguishes Battlefield 2042 from the predecessors is the aforementioned lack of a single-player mode or the ability to create your own game modes.

And when it comes to multiplayer, this time gamers will be able to play in as many as three modes: All-Out Warfare, Portal and Hazard Zone.. The first one is a "normal" BF multiplayer, although this is a rather big simplification. In Battlefield 2042 there will be up to 128 players on the battlefield at once, which also has an impact on the size of the maps - in this installment of the series they are huge.

Portal, on the other hand, is a mode that brings back maps, classes and gameplay mechanics from previous installments. It's hard not to get the impression that it's a kind of tribute to the long-time fans of the series. The Hazard Zone mode, which raised rather mixed feelings among reviewers, makes a completely different impression with its gameplay reminiscent of Escape From Tarkov.

Summing up the reviews available on the web, we can say that this year's Battlefield brings the novelties compared to the previous installments. Still, keep in mind - this is only an impression after the first few hours of play.
