Battlefield 2042 Patch 1.0 Launches; Season 1 In Detail
A trailer for the first season of Battlefield 2042, called Zero Hour, has appeared online. A large patch 1.0.0, which improves many aspects of the title, will be released later today.
June 9 will see the launch of Season 1 in Battlefield 2042, called Zero Hour. It will bring, among others, a new map located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains Expo and a new, Ewelina Lis, whose remote-controlled rocket launcher will enable the player to gain advantage in the air.
Update 1.0.0
Later today, the game will get a major update 1.0.0. Among other things, it improves animations and hit registration, increases the number of available vehicles in the Conquest mode, and nerfs the Sundance wingsuit. The full list of changes can be found here.
New equipment
Zero Hour will introduce the BSV-M shotgun and the Ghostmaker R10 crossbow (which also shoots exploding bolts). Additionally, we will receive a fresh gadget in the form of a smoke grenade launcher.
We will also get two new attack helicopters: RAH-68 Huron and YG-99 Hannibal. They are equipped with stealth technology, thanks to which it's easier to get to the enemy's rear.
Zero Hour Combat Pass
A total of 100 combat pass levels await us - 30 free and 70 premium rewards. The former will unlock a new specialist, weapons, vehicles and cosmetic items.
Those who decide to buy the premium version can count on fresh skins, player card backgrounds, weapon straps and eliminations. The creators promise that all the gameplay elements to be unlocked will be obtained from the free levels of the combat pass.

Ewelina Lis
In addition to the aforementioned launcher the new specialist has an ability called Vehicle Hunter, which detects enemy machines in range (they become visible only to the player who controls Ewelina). This is the description of the character from official website:
"A true anti-vehicle expert, Ewelina Lis was born in Gdansk and got recruited into Poland's elite special force (GROM) at age 21. Committed and earnest, Lis is a defiant, honour-bound warrior who can overcome any obstacle (or blow it to pieces.)"
