New Project Turns Bannerlord's Map and World Into 13th Century Europe
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord has received the impressive mod called Anno Domini 1259, which takes the game to 13th-century Europe.
The pace of work of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord's modding community is impressive, and every now and then another noteworthy project appears. One of the most interesting ones released recently is Anno Domini 1259which moves the action of the game from the fantastic land of Calradia to medieval Europe.
Thanks to the modification, you can play on a large map of the 13th century version of Europe, filled with historical villages, cities, castles and rulers. New cultures and factions have also been introduced (with unique unit trees), as well as a slew of previously unavailable items. The whole thing is very impressive and Anno Domini 1259 is an interesting proposition for fans of Bannerlord desiring more realistic setting.

It should be added that the modification is not available in Steam Workshop and must be installed manually. This is due to the fact that it requires several accompanying projects that have not appeared on Valve's service.
It is also worth mentioning that, true to its name, the project is inspired by the cult mod Anno Domini 1257 for Mount & Blade: Warband. The author of the modification to Bannerlord was not involved in the work on this classic, but took from it quite a number of solutions and music tracks.
Recall that the full version of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord was released in October last year, after more than two years spent in early access. The game was released for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Anno Domini 1259 is intended for the PC version only.
