Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance Finally Available on PC
The moment that PC gamers have been waiting 20 years for has arrived. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, the action RPG that was originally released on PlayStation 2, has finally been released on PC.
A refreshed version of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, the excellent console action RPG from 2001, has launched on PC. The game can be purchased on Steam and GOG.com. In both stores the price is $29.97.
The release of the game was a surprise because it took place without any announcement of a specific date. We only knew that the title is to be released this year.
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance launched in 2001 on PlayStation 2, and a year later the game was released on Xbox and GameCube. The title returned this May with refreshed versions released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Mobile releases for iOS and Android devices are also planned, but we'll wait until 2022 for those.
So far the PC version of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance met with a warm reception. On Steam, 85% of user reviews praise the title, which is categorized as a "positive" reception. On the other hand, on GOG.com the game has an average rating of 3.8/5.
We hope the title will sell well and thus encourage the IP owners to port the sequel, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2, released in 2004 on Xbox and PlayStation 4.
