Backpack Hero - Build for Beginners
Backpack Hero offers many possibilities when it comes to creating peculiar character builds. Here you will find out which one is the best for beginner players.
Backpack Hero is a unique roguelike, in which organizing the contents of your backpack plays a very big role. Additionally, the game is governed by many other rules specific to the genre, including the fact that it can be quite a demanding title. So it is worth knowing what character build will best suit beginners. This you will learn in the following text.
Bulid to start playing Backpack Hero
At the outset, it is worth dissecting the term "build" itself in the context of Backpack Hero. This is because we cannot treat it here in a way known from hack'n'slash or RPGs. "Character build" in the game is not a set of skills, but the properly selected contents of our character's backpack.
With this behind us, we can focus on the crux of the subject. The following advice should help you create a simple and effective build, ideal for your first playthrough.
- At the very beginning, you will not have too many options, o you just have to try to survive until you get more items. A weapon called "club" will help you with this. Whenever you come across it, hold on to it at all costs. Club is a good weapon to start with, as it imposes the effect of "+1 weak." As a result, the enemies will deal less damage to you.
- To begin with, it is also worth remembering to collect items that deal base damage, the use of which does not require energy points.
- Your first build will be based primarily on stamina and healing capabilities. So look out for all items that offer the option of restoring life (e.g. bandages, Vampiric Daggers, etc.).
- Pay special attention to the weapon called "My First Wand." It is quite common and you should quickly come across one during the gameplay. This wand guarantees life regeneration of 1 point for every mana point you have. Thus, it will be a good base for your build. It also means that you need to focus on accumulating mana.
- The second mechanic after healing that you need to focus on is blocking. Blocking is a stat generated by armor and helmets that limits the damage inflicted on you.. A good common outfit is "Tunic", providing 5 points of blocking and +1 point for any helmet you wear. So it is worth adding "Spiked Helmet" to this set, which will not only increase your resistance, but will also inflict damage to the enemies attacking you.
- The last common item worth paying attention to is the "Broken Ring". It enables you to exchange 1 point of mana for 4 points of blocking, which will come in handy in case of attacks from powerful enemies.
With such a set of items in your backpack, you should have no problems clearing the first stages of the game. It is simple to use and enables you to survive the attacks of numerous enemies. When developing the build, on the other hand, you must remember to focus on a few things.
- Collect armor and weapons that do not cost energy to use.
- Collect as much mana as possible, which you will exchange for blocking or life regeneration.
- Remember to collect other items that restore life points.
