Availability Problems with Xbox Series X|S May Last Several Months
Microsoft has a problem with the availability of Xbox Series X|S. The company reveals the reason and reveals when we can expect normal console deliveries.
- Global accessibility problems of Xbox Series X|S are serious.
- Microsoft expects to be able to cover the demand only in April 2021.
Problems with availability of Xbox Series X|S are expected to last until April 2021. Tim Stuart, responsible for finance at Xbox department, announced the information during the Jefferies Interactive Entertainment conference.
"I think we'll continue to see supply shortages as we head into the post-holiday quarter, so Microsoft's Q3, calendar Q1."
The global shortage of Xbox Series X|S consoles is expected to be caused by a huge interest on the part of gamers. Microsoft is trying to do its best to keep up with supplying the stores, but there's nothing it can do to increase its production capacity right now.
"Our assembly lines work at full capacity. We expect that only at the beginning of the second quarter of next year we will be able to deliver enough consoles to cover the full demand. In that time, production of consoles will retain the same capacity as during the pre-Christmas period."
Some may be surprized by the information about lack of consoles in shops. But when we look at the countries of Western Europe and the United States, we can see that there are actually huge shortages. Last week Amazon sent out information that some pre-orders may not be delivered before Holidays.
