Asus Reveals Phone With Overclocked CPU
Info on the specs of Asus ROG Phone 3 appeared on the web. It looks like it will be one of the most efficient phones on the market - it will be equipped with an overclocked Snapdragon 865 CPU. Unfortunately, there is also bad news - like many other modern models, the device will have no headphone jack.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- Asus ROG Phone 3 will have factory overclocked Snapdragon 865 (3.091 GHz), Adreno 650 GPU and 16 GB of RAM, as well as AMOLED screen with FullHD resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate;
- The device will have no headphone jack.
The Chinese TENAA agency has published the specs for Asus ROG Phone 3 (via XDA Developers). It seems that we can expect very strong components. The device will be equipped with a Snapdragon 865 processor, which will be factory overclocked - from 2.84 to 3.091 GHz. The rest of the specs also look solid: GPU Adreno 650 and as much as 16 GB of RAM (similarly to the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra) and 128, 256 or 512 GB of user data (depending on the selected variant).
The smartphone also includes AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.59 inches and resolution of 2340x1080 pixels (with 120 Hz refresh rate), 5G Snapdragon X55 modem and main 64 MP camera. The device will be powered by a 6000 mAh battery, with support for a quick charger (30 W). The operating system of the phone will be Android 10 (ROG UI overlay should be expected).
Unfortunately, there is also bad news - the smartphone is supposed to be deprived of a headphone jack (which is quite typical nowadays). Instead, there will be two USB-C ports - one for charging and the other for connecting the phone to an external screen. Below are some images showing the appearance of the device.
