First Reviews and Launch Trailer for AC: Valhalla's Siege of Paris DLC
The launch trailer for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla - Siege of Paris, which will be available on August 12, has appeared online. We also got to know the first reviews scores and opinions on the DLC.
Assassin's Creed: Valhalla - Siege of Paris, schedulef to launch tomorrow, is the second expansion developed for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla released last year. Along with the main protagonist, we'll be taken to the European continent, to be precise, to the lands of northern France, entangled in the conflict between the Normans and the Franks, led by King Charles III the Fat. Ubisoft has just released the launch trailer for the DLC. The first reviews, prepared by websites that had the chance to test the new content before the launch have appeared on the Internet.
Most critics are relatively unanimous on the fact that Siege of Paris pales in comparison to Wrath of the Druids, the first DLC, released this May. Owners of the second expansion will get the chance to obtain previously unavailable weapons and other equipment. During the campaign, which lasts about 8-10 hours, they will also explore the new map (it's a bit smaller than the one from Wrath of the Druids), depicting Paris with its eye-catching surroundings. The players will also venture deep into Paris' famous catacombs, which are crawling with aggressive rats similar to those in A Plague Tale: Innocence.
Critics point out that the addition is in some ways a return to the series' roots; Paris has been densely built over and resembles the cities of the previous installments, enabling the players to engage in some classic parkour fun. Also back in the game are missions where the objective is to silently follow and then eliminate a character. Unfortunately, the story presented in the DLC is diluted by unnecessary and repetitive side missions and other tedious activities that Ubisoft's sandboxes are known for. In most of them, we help rebels who plan to overthrow King Charles, which is mostly limited to murdering indicated people.
